DJ Quik performed live at the Garden Amp in Garden Grove on April 7 and 8. The concert was sold out both nights.

DJ Quik is a West Coast Hip-hop legend. On April 7, he performed his album "Quik Is The Name." On April 8 he rapped the songs from his album entitled rhythm-al-ism.

Special guests who opened for DJ Quik were 2ndIINone and Rodney O and Joe Cooley. Suga Free closed the show with a performance.

"Out Da House Productions" presented the event. A two-day pas was $80.

On Friday, April 7, all of the seats inside the Garden Amp were filled by 5:30 p.m. Gates opened at 5:00 p.m.

Four local to Orange County rap acts performed before the first headliner.

First headliner to perform was 2ndIINone, a commercial rap group produced by DJ Quik. After their performance a DJ played a set. When he played a song by Outkast, DJ Joe Cooley rushed the booth with three friends. Joe Cooley took a microphone from someone and then said on the mic: "Turn that shit off! Now! Turn it the fuck off!"

Joe Cooley said turn off Outkast three times and then he shoved the DJ away from the turntables. Next, Joe Cooley began scratching and mixing to breakdance records he produced for Rodney. Then, Rodney O swaggered on stage.

DJ Quik performed live. He didn't lip sync or rap over vocals. He also didn't drink a lot of alcohol on stage. But the Penthouse Player Clique did party by passing blunts, alcohol, and dancing with girls on stage.

Suga Free performed after DJ Quik. It's being said by everyone that Suga Free was in beast mode.

There was a guest appearance and performance by Kokane.
