Manager of Sbarro’s in the Main Place Mall, Ruben Duerte, aka Ruben Arroyo, is homosexual. But that doesn’t stop him from renting a room in his condo to a straight guy. Matter-of-fact Ruben is currently renting one room to a black man who is straight and a second room to Rick, a white man who is homosexual but in the closet. They share a bathroom. They are always fighting and the black man is afraid for his life.

Ruben’s apartment is in the Cinnamon Tree Condominiums, located at 212 S. Kraemer Blvd. #2714, Placentia, CA., 92870. It’s two and a half miles from Cal State Fullerton. Ruben uses “rooms wanted” ads on craigslist to lure tenants.

On Dec. 3, 2021, Rick threatened his roommate. The African American male, 47, went into the kitchen with a Styrofoam container of Chinese food. He pushed a button to open the microwave’s door. A plastic Tupperware lid fumbled to the floor. He picked up the lid and handed it to Rick, who was neurotically rinsing dishes.

Rick violently snatched the lid and snarled, “Thanks! I just washed that!”

Next, Rick dropped the silverware he was washing, faced his roommate, bald his fists and then decreed, “I ought to FUCK YOU UP! You lying to the landlord about me! And threatening to call the authorities! Yeah! Huh?! Now what?!”

The black guy stood frozen with his back to the wall. Rick had “squared off” and blocked the exit. After watching the black man tremble with fear, Rick yelled, “Go ahead and go! Get your shit and go!”

The black man called the Placentia Police Department and gave his account to a dispatcher named Brittany. Next he waited in the police’s courtyard for 30 minutes for an officer. But officers passed him by.

Rick left for a week, just in case the police showed up. When he came back, he immediately began stalking his roommate. Rick would get up at 4 a.m., wear all black and wait in a dark hallway to see his roommate walk out of the bathroom.

Rick took over the kitchen and bathroom. He wouldn’t let his roommate use the bathroom at all. The roommate walks to the nearest gas station to use a bathroom.

Here is a video of Rick blocking his roommate from using the bathroom on Dec. 31, 2020. The black guy walks out his room to use the bathroom. Ricks jumps from behind his bedroom door and runs toward the bathroom. His roommate jumps back behind his bedroom door. Rick takes over the bathroom but doesn't shut the bathroom door all the way. When his roommate tries to leave Rick jumps from behind the bathroom door.

Rick does not work at a job. He is unemployed. Rick was overheard telling Ruben that Rick would be getting his rent money from his father.

Rick moved in on Oct. 1, 2021. He wore black military pants and a black wife-beater tank top. His roommate judged Rick to be a “slugger” and stayed away.

But, right away, Rick cried out for company. He stalked his roommate by coming from behind a door every time he heard the black guy open a door. Rick would go into the bathroom at 3 a.m. and not come out until after 5 a.m. Rick was trying to make his roommate knock on the door.

The black guy never spoke to Rick. He judged Rick to have a dependency issue where one latches on to the person closest to them.

Ruben spends time with Rick, begging him to leave his roommate alone. Rick is trying but having a hard time with it.

Friday January 21, 2022 - Rick came out his room at 4 a.m. and tip-toed into the bathroom that he shares with another tenant. The tenant, myself, was getting ready for work that starts at 7 a.m. I checked on the bathroom about twenty minutes later and it was available. I gathered some toiletries but Rick had snuck back into the bathroom. About a half hour later, I checked on the bathroom. The door was closed but I didn't hear noise. I twisted the knob and the door opened easily. Rick had his ear to the door. Then he swung at me and my camera. Rick doesn't have a job. He simply bullies me for the bathroom. See video below.

Monday January 24, 2022 At 4:30 a.m. I opened my bedroom door just a crack and peeked out. Rick, opened the bathroom door at the moment I opened my bedroom door. This proves Rick is up at 4:30 a.m. stalking me. He's listening for my movements and then trying to collide with me. My heart is beating rapidly. I'm sure my blood pressure is high. And my bowels had to move after I saw him.
