Z-RO IN JAIL ON A GUN CHARGE AFTER TRAFFIC STOP IN HOUSTON

Z-Ro arrested on gun charges

Z-Ro is locked up in Harris County Jail since police found a gun in his car Oct. 14 during a traffic stop in Houston.

Harris County Constable Mark Herman said on Facebook Oct. 14 that Z-Ro, born Joseph McVey, was pulled over at the 7500 block of N. Sam Houston Pkwy. He immediately identified himself and told the arresting officer there was a firearm in the car.

Police also found 4.7 ounces of Marijuana. They did not say what type of firearm was recovered.

Z-Ro is a convicted felon.

Constable Mark Herman added: “Joseph McVey was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with felon in possession of a firearm. His bond and court information have not been set at this time.”

Z-Ro was arrested in July 2017 after his girlfriend at the time, Just Brittany, accused him of assaulting her in her home.

According to the police report, they had plans to meet at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse on April 29, 2017. But the restaurant was closed. So they met at Z-Ro’s house where an argument blew up after they talked about the failed dinner date.

Just Brittany accused Z-Ro of slapping, punching and dragging her around his house while clenching a pistol. She provided video evidence of the altercation.

The assault charges, after a while, were reduced to a misdemeanor and then, two years later, dropped altogether.
